Who changed the clocks - 29-10-2007
Rumourmill had a lovely phone call on Sunday informing him that a keen club member made a serious error of timing on Sunday. The clocks were supposed to move backwards an hour allowing us all to have an extra hour in bed. Said member must be used to opening his store early and was to be seen knocking on the door of a fellow club mate in Bexley on Sunday morning disturbing his beauty sleep. Now maybe this was not an error but actually a ploy to use the extra hour for some additional training? No, thought not. Hopefully said member caught up on his lost sleep later in the day.
The same member proudly announced at the cafe stop that one of the proudest moments of his life was the time he drove a steam train. With shouts of anorak ringing around the cafe it seems that other members maybe don't share his enthusiasm. Rumourmill is wondering if there is a cafe at either the Bluebell railway or at Tenterden which would be suitable for a club run that would also stimulate our enthusiasm for steam...
