Tour de France trip update from Terry - 17-06-2008
TOUR DE FRANCE 2008 TRIP.
Flight. Thursday 10th July 2008. BA7951.
Gatwick..terminal N. Be there at the entrance by 05.30 please.
Gatwick, depart 07.05.
Toulouse, arrive 09.55.
We then travel into Toulouse centre and catch (hopefully) the 12.09 train to Lourdes, arriving at 14.30.
We stay at the Hotel Saint Sauveur,

65103 LOURDES.

Toulouse depart 17.05.
Gatwick arrive 17.50.
It would be a good idea if we could help each other get to Gatwick, ie car share or if someone knows a van driver etc etc.
A few trips have been provisionally planned for those that want to take part, apart from viewing 3 stages of the tour, there are a complex of caves near to Lourdes with stalagtites ,stalagmites and a little boat and train going through the middle of it all.
On the top of the Tourmalet mountain there is an observatory that is used for a lot of space exploration and has stunning views over the Pyrenees mountain range, you get a cable car for the last 1000 metres or so.
Mark Morrison normally takes a track pump and we will find a launderette after a couple of days and do a wash, so you wont have to take tons of cycle gear.
