Hi all,
The Tour de France trip will be going ahead from 12th July - 19th July (Thursday to Thursday). A booking at a catered chalet in Morzine has been made - more places are available.
Morzine will allow us to see stage 7 to Le Grand Bornand, Stage 8 Le Grand Bornand to Tignes and possibly part of stage 9 Val d'isere to Briancon if we drive the initial section.
Morzine chalet
The chalet can be seen at http://www.morzinemomentum.com/chalet_peillex.php Costs for the chalet include breakfast, dinner and drink with dinner. The chalet can cater for up to 14 of us. Airport transers to the chalet in a mini bus can be arranged saving the need for those awkward airport transfers with lots of bike bags in buses should we so desire (note - so far we probably have two cars going). See beneath the map below for further details on what is included with the chalet (massage anyone?). Note the early morning call with drinks!
Nearest airport to the chalet is Geneva. Flights from Gatwick to Geneva are available for £65 (including taxes) plus an additional cost for bike bags. .
