Thursday evening LVRC racing at Hogs Hill - 30-04-2009

A good spot by Laurie Toombes from the LVRC web site highlights a Thursday evening race series that is not in the handbook. There are BC Summer league races after these so why not combine the two for a full evening of cycling? :-)

Commencing Thursday 14 May there will be LVRC racing at the Redbridge Cycling Centre (Hog Hill) every Thursday until 6 August Inc.

The series will only continue to 6 August if entry levels are sufficient in the first four events to at least break even.

The series will be run on a point’s basis with prizes given at the end of the series by category with the exception of the final event which will not be part of the series.

Racing will commence at 18.00hrs and last for 45 minutes plus three laps. There will be two races on the circuit at the same time i.e. Categories A-D (40-59yrs) and Categories E-H(60yrs plus) It is planned to use the large circuit but probably in a clockwise direction which we are told is a little bit easier than the anticlockwise direction. It is not possible to have a longer race as we must be off of the circuit by 19.00hrs as the BC Summer League event starts at 19.15hrs

This series is not listed in the LVRC Handbook.

It will therefore be up the members to give this series their full support in order to make it a success.
