The club is active this week - 28-06-2007

Rumourmill has noticed that the club has a number of active members this week - this week's report is to a musical theme!

Rumour has it our favourite pop pickers Peter & Gordon have taken to the road again together with Jim their roadie (not sure if that should read groupie!). They are on their way to Paris and will be back ahead of Le Tour next week.

WKRC is well represented at Sunday's London to Canterbury Sportive. Little & Large Pete & Les our taxi drivers are the first duet. Rumourmill would not have guessed they were in training as the last time they were at a cafe the cake was on the table. Anthony & Claire are the next act followed by "The Mile Eaters" - two old Dartfordians Laurie & David our sportive specialists.

Meanwhile pop's very own golden oldies are at the track masters championships in Scunthorpe. Alan Brown is hoping for success in his 70th year - this year is his one chance for glory as next year the feared Brian Dacey turns 70 and will be racing in the same category as Alan (well for four years at least).
