Surrey legs of Steel sportive - 07-07-2009

This is a great event - I suggest the club try to put in a few entries. I have ridden it for the last two years - the route is good and not stupidly long. Anybody entering I suggest you drop Anthony Hitchings an email and I will post here that you are attending

Entries to date Comments regarding pace
Eddie Land - Aiming for Gold which for me is 3hours 35mins

I am pleased to announce that entries for the Surrey Legs of Steel 2009 event on Saturday 26th September are now open through the following link and our website: https://www.clubsonline.com.au/eventsregform/index.cfm?fuseaction=display_event_detail&EventID=2752&orgid=2080

I would advise you to enter early to avoid disappointment, as the event has filled quickly in both previous years. Once the entry list is full, we will not take any further entries and there will be no waiting list and no entries on the day – you have been warned!

Event details, together with the gold/silver/bronze timing standard for 2009 are posted on our website (http://www.fulontri.com). Rider instructions will also be posted here prior to the event and all those entered will receive a reminder email the week before. There will be no postal confirmation.

All profits from the event will go towards the Dave Aitchison SportsAid Fund to assist talented young triathletes in the Triathlon London region. Last year, the event raised £8,585 for the fund. To make a donation, please visit: http://www.justgiving.com/daveaitchisonfund. If you wish to raise money for the fund through your own participation in the event, then you can create your own donations page through the following link: http://www.justgiving.com/sportsaid and select the Dave Aitchison Fund.

There are currently seven athletes receiving Dave Aitchison funding and you can track their progress through this link:
http://www.triathlonlondon.org/Coaching/AthleteFundingDaveAitchisonFund/tabid/338/Default.aspx
We hope to see many of them taking part in this year’s Legs of Steel event, either as riders or as part of our event team.

Event merchandise can be purchased for an early bird discount until 31st August through the following link: http://www.incrediprint.com/common/pages/mainNew.asp?clubdir=LegsOfSteel

We look forward to welcoming you at the event.
Kind regards,
Siobhan
