Surrey legs of Steel - 29-03-2007
Claire and Anthony rode the Surrey legs of Steel event last Saturday. The route was 81k and took in a number of climbs around the Surrey hills.
The event was well signposted, had good marshalling and two food stops for the long course. The route itself had plenty of interest through quiet lanes. The climbs were stiff and by the end tiring. The cyclist who finished quickest in a little over two and a half hours may disagree with this point but for those who were cycling for over three and a half hours believe me it felt tiring.
For those who are interested the route is attached.
