West Kent RC/ SERRL, Sevenoaks Weald…17/06/2007.
Once again the WKRC, with the help of Woolwich cc, put on a road race in conjunction with the South-East Road Race League. It was a 1st, 2nd,3rd cat event with a field of around 50 riders. We had additional problems with road works on the circuit but overcame them to produce a very good race. A big thank-you to Kevin and John Barnett for running a super tea -bar, car marshals, Steve Rivett, Lawrie Toombs, Mark Morrison and his brother, also circuit marshals,Gary Stewart, John Leach, Arthur Dann, new member Dave..and his wife and mum, plus finish line judges Alan Brown and Terry Sowa.I have to say we were still about 3 marshals short on the day.
Result. 1st Tom Burke(2nd cat, City hub cc)
2nd Barry Stewart(2nd cat,,Kent cycles)
3rd Gareth Mc Cullogh(2nd cat,Medway velo).
