Rumourmill needs suggestion as to where I stash my cash whilst saving for some carbon wheels - 22-02-2009
Ok guys please keep this quiet from Claire. I am planning to save some money so as to purchase some new carbon wheels. Obviously I need to keep this quiet as if Claire finds out I am spending this money on bike equipment my life will not be worth living. That and the fact that all my hard saved money will probably be spent on DIY equipment that will keep me from my bike!
Now the first thing I need some help with is some advice on where I should hide the money so as to ensure Claire does not find it. I have heard a worrying story about a fellow club member who had a similar idea. His hidey hole was the sock draw though which proved to be his undoing as his savings were found...
The second area for which I need your help is an excuse should the money be found. My fellow club member made an excuse about saving for Christmas. Now this did not work as the money was indeed spent on Christmas but not by him! I need an excuse that will allow me to continue saving and for the wheels to still be purchased.
So - please email me with your thoughts on:
1) where should I hide my stash as I save
2) what excuse can I give should the stash be found
And remember, keep it quiet! :-)
