Rumourmill latest - 25-02-2008

After the win for Tottenham in the Carling cup final it is to be assumed that Terry will be unbearable on the ride next weekend. As it was this week he spent a fair amount of the ride singing chants and wearing a silly Spurs beanie. Tell you what, why don't we secretly re-arrange the start venue for next week and not tell Terry? That way we Rumourmill can enjoy a ride in peace and quiet.

Garry Stewart is back out and riding following his broken arm. It may take him a few weeks to recover his full fitness and we wish him a speedy return to form.

It was pointed out to Rumourmill that the club secretary and her husband have moved house and not shared details of their new contact details. Rumourmill has suggested that a revised membership list is circulated. Until then the e-mail contacts are still working.

Rumourmill spotted a club rider in the cafe on Sunday wearing a 34th Nomads top. Said club member often wears club colours although they appear to be of the knitted wool variety rather than current day fabrics. Don't think it went unnoticed!

The club president has now been sidelined for some six weeks with his groin injury. This may cause him to change his early season plans but has not dented his ability for a social. Rumourmill has learnt that at the recent club lunch Alan and another well known cyclist started on the beers at midday and continued until midnight. Guess that is what it takes to be medallists on the track at National level!
