Ride for MAG landmine charity - 11-12-2007

This arrived in the virtual club mailbox earlier today

MAG is a UK based landmine charity looking for cyclists to sign up to our bike ride through 3 Capitals in 3 Days from 6-9 June 2008. This is a unique event that will offer spectacular scenery and test endurance, requiring each cyclist to cover 320 miles in just 3 days from London to Amsterdam and on to Brussels. It will raise funds to support our international mine clearance programmes in 11 countries including Cambodia, Angola, Sudan, Lebanon and Iraq.

MAG is looking for both individual cyclists and groups of people to take part in the event and, although it takes place next year, there are only a limited number of places available. A registration fee of £150 and minimum sponsorship of £1350 applies.

Would it be possible for you to advertise this event among your members and possibly on your website? I have various versions of our advert and can send out leaflets and posters if you would like. As MAG is a charity we have limited funds to promote this event therefore your help would be invaluable to us.

If you or any of your fellow club members would like to take part, either email us at events@mag.org.uk or give me a call on 0161 236 4311 and i’ll be more than happy to provide you with more information.

Best Wishes
Lesley
