Laurie has been under the knife - 02-11-2009
Laurie has been under the surgeon's knife for his shoulder and it has been found that it is worse than expected. In his words it is "pretty well smashed up". His shoulder needs to be immobilised and it has been plated, screwed up and cemented back together. This will mean at least a month off the bike and work. If you have any spare cycling DVDs or books to read I am sure he will be happy to receive them so as to kill time during his time away from work. He may also appreciate some help turning the pages of the book as one handed reading is not as easy as it sounds.
His turbo is all set up and he will be getting on that again soon.
Laurie sent a lovely photo of the club on the day that you decided to stop racing each other and have a swift pint.
