Hill climb results - 06-10-2007

Well done to those who took part in the hill climb today. All competitors that had club kit were wearing it which looked fantastic and really helps the club to stand out. In Arthur Dann we also had a spectator in club colours. Arthur was unable to race today as he has just had his knee washed. We hope to see Arthur racing next year whether his knees are clean or not!

Claire won the ladies race with a time of 1 min 16 seconds.

Terry Sowa took the slalom gold with a time of 1 min 22. Terry was held up by an overtaking car that decided to then stop in front of him causing him to slow. Terry had to go round the car and hope that the oncoming car would let him through.

Darren won the award for riding up the hill in the big ring with a time if 1 min 17.

Laurie and Anthony both put in a time of 1 min 15 seconds but thankfully we had the technology to measure to hundreths of a second. Laurie's time was 1 min 15 seconds 20 whilst Anthony's was 1 min 15 seconds 61!

We should offer our thanks to Tracy Chapel who volunteered to be our time keeper and to Ian Cox who was pusher off. Thanks also to Mark for bringing the race signs, stop watches and chalk.

Pictures tell a thousand words and we have a few added to the picture gallery
