Highlights from Flanders - 06-04-2009
Between the group of eight some 1,000 miles were cycled with no punctures
No rain fell during the weekend and there was even a chance of a sun tan on Friday and Sunday
Bart our hotel owner was a real character and clearly very well known in the town.
Terry Tours has subcontracted travel and moved to a cash in hand model for both transport and accommodation. The sub contractors for travel had some interesting ideas for headlight deflectors that involved gaffer tape!

The sportive was an excellent ride with over 15,000 riders participating. Commiserations have to go to Ed who missed the turn for the 75k route and ended up doing the 140k route
Mark Beckett clearly talks with his hands. His phone call home to his wife whilst stood in the middle of the town square and in full view of our restaurant was a very visual phone call depicting cobbles and climbs. He was greeted accordingly upon entering the restaurant
Terry won a sweep stake for the eventual race winner and showed great delight in doing so
