Delay to the start of Wednesday 10 series - 23-04-2008

News from the Bexley CC web site:

"The start of the evening 10 series for this year is going to be delayed as water pipes are still being laid over part of the course at West Kingsdown.

After consultation we are informed that the works will continue for another 4 weeks. We thus anticipate that our first event will be on Wednesday 21st May."

At the club run this Sunday we had a fair amount of commitment to give these a go so we'll try to keep you informed and push to get a few riders on the line when they do start. The only doubter was David who felt that it needs to warm up before he can get up to speed :-)

Cheer up though as there are alternatives!

Evening Time Trial Series; Starts Thursday 1st May 2008 - Old Portlians

Every Thursday at 7:30pm, from the first Thursday in May to late August, we run a club time trial on a sporting course based on the Crowhurst Road race circuit. The event consists of 2 laps of the 6.25 mile circuit. The HQ for the event is the Crowhurst village Hall car park and the start is immediately opposite the car park. it is traditional, after the race, for some members to retire to the Brickmakers Arms for refreshment and sustenance. Members of other clubs are welcome to ride. There is a £2 fee.
