Claire qualifies for team GB at European duathlon - 14-04-2009

Claire has qualified to represent Great Britain (Age 35-39) in the forthcoming ETU Duathlon European Championship to take place in May in Budapest, Hungary. To qualify she had to come in the top 6 in her age group and within 120% of the time of her age group winner. So to make it easy she won her age group!

The qualifying event was a 7km run, 35km bike and then a 5km run. As usual Claire set off far too fast on the first 1km of the run and every km got slower thereafter. Fortunately she had a storming bike ride, which made up for the shuffling runs! Let's hope Jamie's passport arrives in time!!

The European duathlon is at the end of May in Budapest and Claire will be able to wear team GB clothing.
