A few race results - 17-05-2010
A number of club members have been racing although it has been a slow start due to the wet and cold often experienced on the weekends. A brief roundup is below.
This weekend just gone, Anthony and Claire raced at Horsham on a 25.
Anthony did a1.02.09 which would have been quicker had he not missed a turn at a roundabout! Claire managed 1.04.45. Claire has ridden a few 10s this year managing 24.47 on the midweek Bexley course and a 24 on the Tonbridge bypass.
Anthony has also ridden a 10 near Tenterden in a time of 25.17 which included being stuck behind a tractor and having to stop a junction for two cars. On the Q25/8 on a cold windy day in April, he managed a 1.04. He punctured on the Tonbridge bypass.
Tony Meilak has been busy riding a couple of Open 10s with times of 26.23 and 26.44. On the midweek event on the A20 he has managed a 25.55. Tony has also ridden a couple of 25s with the quickest so far being a 1.05.33
Other mentions go to Chris Gould who has ridden a 25.32 for a 10. Lee Russell has been doing the midweek rides and has a 26.22 and a 26.14. A Clarke rode a 28.39 on the Bexley 10 and it also looks as though a certain A Meilak rode for WKRC on one Bexley 10 finishing quickest on the night in 21.55. We don't think he is joining the club though :-)
